DAY ACTIVITIES

Day Activities options provide opportunities to:

• Utilise community facilities
• Access further education
• Gain pre-vocational job skills
• Participate in personal development and communication activities
• Access a wide and varied range of recreation and leisure options.
• Operate under the Disability Services Act 2006

Activities are based on each person’s personal plan which is prepared in consultation with the person and their family/carer/advocate/friends/support workers. Personal plans are developed to ensure people express their activity preferences, the skills they would like to learn or enhance and the interests they would like to pursue. All activities operating within day placement are a direct consequence of people’s choices.
